Sundance, Heber Valley and Park City

August 19 - 20, 2017

From Susan and Denny's we made our way to Heber Valley to our other friends Tara and Jack's summer home. We lucked into another gorgeous day for a drive. One of the many stops along our way.

We got there in time to head up to Sundance with Jack and Tara for dinner at the General Store Restaurant. It couldn't have been more beautiful and dinner was terrific! The grounds are lovely...

 The Restaurant

This horse mural was so lovely

Tara and Jack after we came out of the restaurant

The beautiful view of the Mountain named after an Indian Princess Tipanogas

The Wasatch Mountain Range, part of the Rockies

The Red Ledges Community where they live is divine!

Their beautiful home and the views from here are incredible

Jack was in a cooking kind of mood

He made us delicious fruit smoothies and pecan pancakes

This exquisite home is for sale.

We only photographed a part of the second floor.

They took us on a wonderful driving tour starting in Midway that has a distinct Swiss twist to the town and it's neighborhoods.

Blue Bear Inn

Checkout the clock. Almost could imagine being in Switzerland

Midway homes with their Swiss style outdoor murals and decorations

Certainly wasn't expecting to see this type of outdoor decorations

We often found houses perched up on hills

Beautiful Wasatch Park public golf course

 A Wasatch Park Teepee

From Midway we drove to Empire Pass to get a view of Park City and the Heber Valley

One of the exclusive resorts above Park City was Montage

It was worth coming here just to walk around and look at the furnishing and artwork; not to mention, the exquisite views of the grounds and surroundings.

Park City in the distance

One of the few silver mines left, most all of them have been torn down to make way for the various resorts.

I loved some of the older Park City homes as much as the new ones

Really? Big Moose Yacht Club

Some of the Park City's ski lifts pass right through town

Our lunch place of choice

Turns out if we had more time we could have gone on a tour of their distillery.

Our wonderful hosts, Tara and Jack.

We shared a sumptuous lunch with two appetizers: ridiculously good deviled eggs and cashew, bacon caramel popcorn, bison/beef burgers, chicken schnitzels and salad...We followed it by a walk through the downtown ArtFair...

It's unbelievable there are no dogs in the photos because they were certainly on parade...Burmese Mountain dogs, Vizlas, Spitzes, just to name a few...

We got home in time for a drink at their lodge and to watch their sunset view.

Simply sublime!
