We decided to move slow this morning; fitting in time for a wonderful breakfast in downtown Bozeman at Jam. WOW! Following Ken’s advice we took the longer route to get to East Glacier Village, MT and weren’t disappointed in the least!!!
Jam
Out of Bozeman
The Yellowstone again
Do you think the deer know that they can cross there??? Just "sayin"???
We saw herds of horses and bisons, cowboys on horseback working their cattle, waving plains of wheat, stands of pine and evergreen, flowing streams and majestic mountains.
As soon as we came through Great Falls, MT we found ourselves on the Blackfeet Reservation.
We knew we had to watch for wildlife but really??? Outside of the Glacier entrance
Two Medicine Lake got it's name thanks to two medicine women's quest visions
The General Store has been around for a really long time
Wyatt, our pilot of the really lame jokes
The last chalet left on the lake is a private residence
Clouds and reflections, two of my favorite things...
Just guessing that this was their bath for the day???
Yep, there's snow on them there hills
I could easily spend some time here...
Two Medicine River is really low, but still serenely beautiful in the last light of day
Turns out check in for our funky old motel, the Whistling Swan was at the East Glacier Trading Post. Mark checked us in and was terrific! He told us how to make the most of our time here. Starting with us jumping back in the car and driving the Sun Rd. to Two Medicine lake. We arrived in time to jump on the historic "Sinopah" for a 45 minute lake cruise…Heaven!
Our well used motel room reminded us of a cabin we stayed in Canada years ago with the kids…Thankfully, it’s only one night!!!

Yep, our dream place for the night...LOL!!! Suppose to get down to 47 degrees here tonight...YIKES!
I want to drive this sucker...It looks like fun! Our room is to the right of this trac
Not sure but think we got the fancy suite? LOL!!!
More is more when it comes to wood paneling
We ended our evening at the World Famous Whistle Stop Cafe, finishing our meal with a shared piece of their World Famous Huckleberry pie. LOL! The berries reminded us of blueberries, but smaller and tarter. Delicious even if the crust was disappointing! It definitely wasn’t Penny’s pie crust!!!
Tomorrow Mark suggested we rise early to drive the Sun Rd. to St Mary’s Glacier Park entrance. Due to the fires, we will have to stay on the lower east side.
Like Yellowstone, it’s such an immense park stretching well into Canada. Another place to return to and spend a week or more. Next time I will definitely plan a year or so out so we have more lodging choices.
